All bar toolsThe story of the White Lady
The White Lady goes back to Harry MacElhone, who mixed a first version with crème de menthe in London in 1919. Later, at his Harry's New York Bar in Paris, he swapped it for gin – which is how it is still served today. Harry Craddock of the Savoy is often linked to the drink too, since he included it in his famous cocktail book.
