All bar toolsThe story of the Corpse Reviver No. 2
In the 19th century, “corpse revivers” were drinks meant to get you back on your feet after a long night. The best-known version, the Corpse Reviver No. 2, appears in Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book of 1930. Craddock warned with a wink that four of them in quick succession would send the corpse right back to the grave. It was originally made with Kina Lillet; today Lillet Blanc is the usual choice.
