All bar toolsThe story of the Naked and Famous
The Naked and Famous was created in 2011 by Joaquín Simó at New York’s Death & Co. Simó described it as a cross between two equal-parts drinks, the Last Word and the Paper Plane – just with mezcal and the smoke of Oaxaca. It quickly became a modern classic and was added to the International Bartenders Association’s official cocktail list in 2020.
